Mars has kind of given an answer to Serbia

There we are. We have been struck by lightning. Mars has answered through Tomo's angry voice :


"JUST A QUICK NOTE. SPAMMING OUR TIMELINES IS A GOOD WAY TO GET US TO NOT PAY ATTENTION. WE WILL COME EVERYWHERE WE CAN, WHEN WE CAN".

Yelling at us this way. Ouch !!

So rude. So hurting.


And it still hurts me each time I read it.


I would have loved to read something kind. A kind answer to (so) kind and devoted Echelons. Serbia had been asking for an answer for so long, promising that as soon as there was one, spamming would stop. So a "heard" would just have been clear enough to everyone.


The evening had begun on a very pleasant and joyful manner. @arthemars had tweeted "If you could teleport to any place right now, where would you go?" Can you guess what the answer was ? At that precise moment, I would have loved to teleport myself to...Oman of course. So arthemars, eskimofaraway and I had started a gentle chat and were ready to pack our things and off we go to Oman.


A few hours before, while I was stuck in the bloody traffic jams that this city is used to, I had had a new idea to try and help the serbian echelons to get Mars in their country. I had decided to write a new page, here on my blog, which I would have entitled "Mars Attack : Phase 2"


I wanted this post to be funny. It would have described what I meant by "Phase 2". Actually, I had thought that if we sent funny tweets to Shannon, Jared and Tomo ,they might be more receptive to the strong desire of the echelons. I wanted to tweet each day a funny "motto of the day" related to Serbia naturally. One and only one each day.


I wanted, I wanted, I wanted...


...until Tomo's tweet came as a bolt from the blue...

I must confess that I am dazed ! I know that in a few hours, the hurtful thing inside me will have softened but still...


The good thing (always the bright side vs the dark side) is that it appears that Mars has heard at last.


Mars has heard Serbia.


I'm gonna sleep on this tonight. Tomorrow, my brain will surely be more alert...

1- Words may hurt but cannot kill and "that which does not kill us makes us stronger."
2- It is nearly Spring, we're living on Earth (our head still on Mars though) and life is beautiful :)

Mars in Croatia...so close to Serbia

Seems that Mars has heard a lot of demands from many Echelons all over the world. Tour dates are added each and every day. Lucky Echelons who will see their dream come true.

Surprisingly, the Serbian Echelons who have been asking, praying, begging, crying for so many days can't make themselves heard. God ! Is Mars that far from Belgrade or Nis or Novi Sad that they cannot hear Serbia's calls ?


Anyone who has even little notions of geography know that Croatia and Serbia were parts of the same country not that far ago and that they are very close geographically speaking. Zagreb is only 370 km (230 miles) far from Belgrade.


Is it so difficult to organize a show in Belgrade while it seems that it has been easy to organize one in Zagreb ?


I am not a serbian Echelon. I do not even consider myself an Echelon. I am a huge fan of Mars (don't know if "fan" is the correct word to describe what the band and their music represent to me) but I am a free electron (have always been), belonging to no one and to everyone at the same time according to my own choices. But I am deeply moved by the situation that the Serbian Echelons are facing : a mute wall.


A bloody deaf and mute wall that I would love to blow up.


I read their tweets. They often tweet in serbian language that I do not speak (but Google translation does). And I am realizing that as the days go by, they are a bit more sad, a bit more skeptical, a bit more desperate.


I am bitter today. Not desperate but bitter. And angry either. It is so hard to wait for Mars' answer. An answer that is not coming.


Hundreds of tweets have been sent and it is my third blog message for Serbia. Nothing in return. Nothing. Not even a "read" or a "heard". At this point, a word, only a single word (whatever this word is) would be a relief.


Anything would be better than this deafening silence.


I want to yell with frustration and I hate that.


I will carry on my fight beside Serbia even if my help seems useless.


You have to keep faith Echelons. Mars CANNOT forget you.


This is not conceivable.

PS : Thanks for your tweets everyone. But I think that I need to clarify something. No one is blaming the band and no one will blame them if they do not go to Serbia. We know the "pressure" that the "corporate bullshit" (loved that one @eskimofaraway) exert on any band. Might be the problem.


We love them (and will always I guess)...no matter what. 


What I am actually blaming is the lack of answer. That's my point.


I do strongly believe that the band owes an answer to their Echelons.

Shannon, Jared, Tomo, won't you listen to the voice of the people ?

I know. I am sometimes annoying. But there is an arab proverb which says "The annoying one always wins over the tough one". I very much like this proverb.


So, as I do want the serbian Echelons to win the particular fight which consists in having the 30stm in Serbia this SUMMER, I think I have no other choice than that of being annoying.


I was about to say that I was sorry for that. But I am not. I am not sorry for being annoying. This is a war and we are fighting. Fighting to fulfill a dream. The dream of your fans.


Jared ? Didn't you say "fulfill your fucking dreams, no matter what" ? So, there we are. Trying to fulfill a fucking dream...


...no matter what.


You must have read at least 1 tweet concerning #SerbiaWantsMars. The contrary seems impossible to me as the serbian Echelons have sent you hundreds of  prayers.


But no one's answering.


I've thought a lot about this deadly silence and I have come to the conclusion that :


1- you have not seen any of the desperate calls from #SerbiaWantsMars.


2- you do not intend to come to Serbia or you simply cannot for several different reasons, but you don't know how to announce it to the Echelons.
You know what ? They love you so much that they would understand if you could not organize a concert in their country. They just NEED to know.


3- you are maybe trying to organize a concert in Serbia this summer but it takes time and you are waiting for things to be completed before you announce it to your fans.


Shall I have to precise that the 3rd point is my favorite option ?


Serbia, I've already told you : I hope you'll win and I know that you'll carry on fighting to fulfill your dream...

Open letter to Shannon, Jared & Tomo. Did you notice that Serbia'd launched an attack on Mars ?

I am a newcomer in the world of Mars. You already know that. But during these 4 or 5 months since I have joined the "movement",  I have carefully watched how the 30stm "fans" behave (I know now that "Echelon" and "fan" are two different things).


I do not intend to make a social study on this subject but it is very interesting to observe how passionate, how lovely, how respectful, how loyal, how faithful the Echelon are towards the band. And how they want them badly in their country.


I had never seen that before.


I use TweetDeck and each time someone I follow or someone who mentions me (or retweets me) tweets, a little window opens in the right corner of my laptop screen. Yesterday, while I was working, a special window opened.


"Special" not because someone was mentioning me. "Special" because someone was asking for help.


"Huh ?!?" I thought, "What's this ?"


The message was sent by @AngelEchelon209 and was saying : "@DameFefe Can you pls help us+RT #SerbiaWantsMars :)"


Help ? For what ? How ?


So, as curious as always (I've been taught since infancy that curiosity IS a quality. So, I use it to my heart's content), I decided to open a new "search column" in my TweetDeck board-thing. Then, I wrote the following (still hazy) words "#SerbiaWantsMars" and I clicked on "save".


And...


Oh-My-God !! Under my amazed eyes, an "avalanche" of tweets was scrolling. I soon understood that the Serbian armada had launched a massive attack on Mars. Incredible !! I had the vision of an air-fleet cruising around Mars, sending tweets like a machine-gun.

What an air power !

Actually SERBIA WANTS MARS. Serbian Echelon do badly want Mars. In their country. This summer...


...and they are fighting tooth and nail for it.


We all know that organizing a concert abroad is not an easy task but you guys are back in Europe this summer so...


Meanwhile Serbian Echelons, keep fighting. Do not give up. Who knows ? Shannon or Jared or Tomo could read my post and decide to give a closer look at #SerbiaWantsMars (in case they have not yet noticed your attack on Twitter...the guys must receive hundreds of tweets everyday. Must not be easy to read them all).
